Overwhelmed By Debt? You Have Options.

At Jones & Associates, we help Texas consumers who find themselves overwhelmed by consumer debt. When you can no longer manage payments and interest is accumulating faster than you can pay, it can lead to serious financial consequences. By filing for bankruptcy, we can help you pursue a stronger and more stable financial future.

Bankruptcy is not necessarily the best choice in every situation, but our attorneys can help you weigh your options and move forward with the most appropriate course of action. Chapter 7 or Chapter 13 bankruptcy may offer you the opportunity to deal with your debt once and for all. We can advise you on the best method to provide you with a fresh start.

Should you file for bankruptcy? Work with Jones & Associates — a law firm invested in your long-term success and committed to exploring all avenues currently available to customize a plan that best fits your individual needs.

Which Chapter Is Right For You?

There are two main chapters of consumer bankruptcy, Chapter 7 and Chapter 13. The differences between these two are as follows:

  • Chapter 7 — Chapter 7 is liquidation bankruptcy, but that does not mean you will lose all your personal property. Applicants must meet certain income requirements, and it is particularly beneficial for those with medical or credit card debt.
  • Chapter 13 — This is reorganization bankruptcy, and it is often a good choice for those who have a regular monthly income. Chapter 13 is an option for those who do not qualify for Chapter 7, and it can take three to five years to complete.

We have helped Texas clients from all backgrounds seek a better financial future and stop debt collection efforts through bankruptcy, including those who are victims of identity theft and those who have recently divorced.
